F.A.Q.

What makes Alan uniquely qualified to deliver this message?

Prior to becoming a professional keynote speaker, I spent over 15 years as a basketball performance coach dedicated to pushing the world’s best players to get even better. I helped them level up their habits, mindset, focus, and discipline… as those traits were the foundation on which the rest of their game was built.

The same is true in business. Your personal habits, mindset, focus, and discipline dictate how well you lead, how much impact you make, and how well you can make a meaningful contribution.

I now teach business leaders, sales professionals, and entire organizations, how to utilize proven principles, and develop the same strategies, approaches, and perspectives as basketball’s most accomplished players and coaches.

How does Alan help someone raise their game?

I teach them how to maximize and utilize the Unseen Hours to work towards mastery of their craft and become the best of the best.

As a veteran basketball performance coach, I got a rare, exclusive peek behind the curtain and witnessed firsthand exactly what the best players in the world did when no one was watching.

The Unseen Hours are equally pivotal in business. Your performance, productivity, and the impact you have on your team is a direct result of the effort and attitude you exude in everything you do… every… single… day.

What types of audiences benefit from Alan’s message? Who should hire Alan?

I believe in the fundamentals. I believe in proven principles. I believe in the process.

I share captivating stories, compelling stats, and most importantly… practical, actionable strategies to fully equip you – and every member of your team – with the tools you need to heighten your performance, increase your productivity, and make a meaningful contribution.

Regardless of industry… whether you’re a C-suite executive, a seasoned sales pro, or a frontline customer service rep… I’ll teach you exactly how to drastically improve your influence, impact, and win in today’s hyper-competitive marketplace.

Why should I hire Alan? What’s in it for me?

I believe that complexity undermines execution. And in business, execution is the name of the game! Thus, my goal is to help you SIMPLIFY SUCCESS and improve organizational performance. I will also empower you to achieve more! MORE impactful leadership. MORE team cohesion. MORE sales revenue. MORE loyal customers.

My #1 goal is to make sure every member of your team… regardless of their title, tenure, or role… leaves feeling inspired, prepared, and committed to excellence.

What can a client expect when they hire Alan?

I am a true professional and I love what I do. I am beyond grateful for every opportunity to deliver my message from stage and pour into an audience. I take pride in doing extensive due diligence… being accessible, responsive, and easy to work with… and being incredibly low maintenance. I know how much work goes into planning and putting on an event I only want to add value – not create headaches.

Do you need me to record a promo video for your event? I got you. Would you like for me to do a meet-and-greet or book signing after I speak? I got you. Are you interested in a series of post-engagement reinforcement tools? I got you. Whatever you need… I am here to serve you!

Clients should also know that I live and model everything I preach and teach on stage and on page in every area of my life.

What are Alan’s goals on stage?

I want to outspeak my fee every time. How do I that? I am relentless in my preparation, due diligence, and rehearsal and work hard to show up to every event energized and excited. That way, when I step on stage, can focus on 3 things:

1. Adding as much value as possible
2. Being fully present and in the moment
3. Having fun and sharing my enthusiasm

When I do those three things, then I accomplish my primary goal… which is to provide helpful, memorable, actionable takeaways and get everyone in attendance to think, feel, and act differently.

Why does Alan love being a keynote speaker?

There are very few places I’d rather be than on stage. Pouring into an audience is exhilarating. Nothing fills my bucket more than seeing people smiling, nodding their heads, and taking furious notes… and knowing that my message is making a positive impact on their lives.

I also love being a speaker because I believe in the power of story. Stories are sticky. Stories are meaningful. Stories connect. A well told story can sway emotion and emotion is what dictates people’s feelings, behaviors, and decisions. A powerful story tied to an actionable lesson will get you to think, feel, and act differently.

What do clients, meeting planners, and bureau partners really want?

It’s been my experience that clients, meeting planners, and bureau partners a speaker that is engaging and delivers practical takeaways. Above and beyond that, they only want to know three things when making the decision on who to hire as a speaker:

1. Have you done this before?
2. Have you done this recently?
3. Have you done this for someone like us?

Have I done this before? Yes, I have given over 300 paid, corporate keynotes since 2017.

Have you done this recently? Yes, in the past 12 months alone I’ve delivered programs for brands like Neighborly, Smucker’s, Qdoba, Anytime Fitness, Renewal by Anderson, Sonic Drive in, Staples, and Tampa General Hospital.

Have you done this for a company/event like us? I’d be shocked if my answer wasn’t yes again! I’ve worked in just about every industry imaginable! From financial services to franchises and everything in between.

Who are the groups Alan works with most often and what do they want?

Industry wise, I am totally agnostic and have worked with every type of business imaginable.

Size wise, it’s the same. I’ve delivered for Fortune 50 companies as well as small, locally owned businesses.

As far as the groups I most often address – there are three:

Group 1: Business Leaders. This includes business owners, executives, managers, supervisors, directors, and entrepreneurs. Basically, anyone that has been given the power of authority.

Group 2: Sales Professionals. Doesn’t matter if they sell a product or a service… if they sell… I serve!

Group 3: Franchisors & Franchisees. The relationship between franchisors and franchisees is one of my favorites to work with – as they both need each other to thrive for the other to benefit!

Once I’ve gotten clarity on their specific industry, on their specific business, and on the specific group that will be in the audience… I then shift my attention and focus on answering two questions:

What specific problems are they currently facing?

What customized, actionable solutions can I provide?

And that is what I deliver from stage!
